Jacopo Falleni

Born in Florence, Italy, Jacopo Falleni, Mixologist and Owner of Firenze Osteria, knows his business. He graduated with honors from the Instituto Professionale per I Servizi Alberghiero in Florence, Italy, where he received his technical degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Since his graduation, he has honed his restaurant service and bar management skills by managing some of the most prestigious band and nightclubs venues in Florence as well as acquiring a historic Firenze Bar and turning it into a local sensation. Jacopo then graduated from Italy’s AIBES, Association of Italian Bartenders, and was selected as an instructor for their bartending school.

Competitive in nature, Jacopo has won several Italian National bartending contests and some of his garnishes have Top 50 Choice Awards from the AIBES. Addicted to challenge, his travel experiences have been some of the biggest. “I believe travel is necessary to acquire culture and knowledge. That is why I jumped on the boat for the United States.”

  
 


His first experience outside of his home country started in New York City. He opened the very first homemade gelato store in Manhattan. The store became very successful and started distributing to the finest New York restaurants and grocery stores, including Dean and Deluca. Today he is one of the managing partners of Firenze Osteria, overseeing all restaurant staff and bar operations. He teaches his staff that business and life have a lot in common with a hug, “the best way to get a good one is to first give one.”

Outside of the restaurant, Jacopo enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, surfing and has a huge passion for horses and horseback riding.
